what are apple fanboys doing here in a microsoft themed site? Preaching us your macs are better? If you enjoy your macs, leave the guys here alone. Noone is interested in you having a mac here.

Whats the sense of having a PC?? Macs are tons better! Go Ioman

Looks like Vista!!

Windows is the best operating system…Macs can’t run alot of stuff but are for the most part unhackable so they are considered “safe”. In my opinion they are for just work, windows is for the works.
This paint is looking good and much better…it will help alot of people who don’t want to pitch more money into additional software.Plus if they get around to adding 3d support, MS paint might be worthy to use over PS again!

Have layers now ?
I think it can be good

Windows 7 painter is only a basic tool and it always will be.
Painter is not designed for professional stuff and it never will be.
Painter is designed to be small and easy to use, so we don’t need additional programs for real basic drawing stuff.
If you need a realy good tool for drawings that go and download it or buy it.

… or download Paint.NET instead.

Hey Mac junkies, Go back to your little world.
In the real world, Windows will still be Number #1.
I like how Paint has been refreshed. It needed it!

This does look like a decent upgrade, and i don’t even use windows much anymore – mac user.
Its annoying how mac fanboys come here and go all OMG MAC OS X IS THE BEST, when OS X doesn’t even have its own Paint-like app.
that being said, imo OS X IS better, but windows is still aight.

hey can someone tell me about the difference between the paint program we had before and now in W7. Lets talk about its additional features and their disadvantages or advantages
Peeky Chew | at
Well I know that now it supports transparency, so that will certainly help a lot, since you won’t have to print screen something transparent anymore.
And could people stop saying ms paint is rubbish? It’s really good for pixel art and just because you don’t use it for that doesn’t mean it is rubbish.

u all are idiot it is a good one

or certain basic graphics jobs Paint is fine. I do quite a bit of work with old music scores. I find Paint does a good job of cleaning these up, copying and pasting clean bits over dirty bits and so on. Really quick and easy to use. BUT I sometimes have to pop into PhotoShop to make the ledger lines horizontal.

is there any way to get this paint on vista
William | at
I like the new Paint, with it’s newer features, but it would be even nicer, if it also had the older brushes for pixel related stuff.

The new paint sucks @ss big time.
I hate it when they take something taht works…and mess it up with “upgrades”…. >:(
thank god! | at
@cap
I love you!
win7 paint really sucks. I can’t believe microsoft have developed an user-enemy application.
Stephen | at
i would like to set more effect on the next MS paint….
William | at
Win7 Paint does not suck, while pretty basic, it has it’s purpose.
If you need to do very detail stuff, in that case, you’ll need to use something else.
