microsoft now speaks the ease of access language with windows 7, i believe '' lets wait for windows '' is not an understatement

As a software developer, I'm getting irked by the wasted space of the left-pane. However, what really pushes me off the ledge is the lack of visual clues (icons)of each link in the left pane.

While it's good to be verbose (with its long links' text), I for one (as well as several other good friends and colleagues of mine) work best when there're visual cues. Not asking for the annoying paper clip again. However, a small icon (yep, even 16x16) would really help me around the os.

Sounds like a trivial thing, but it's true. Instead of having to context switch (to read the links), I just need to identify the icons I need, click, and BAM, done.

just my 2c

The Windows 7 themes are just so awful. They lack color saturation and contrast. Windows XP Luna was much better than this crap. Gnome (Ubuntu) is far better too. At least in XP and Gnome the Window frames are easily distinguishable from the contents. This must look terrible for people who are color impaired (10% of males I think) as all you see are pale shades of gray. Windows 7 on a laptop outdoors must look terrible too. I think the only reason they changed it was for the sake of change itself because if they kept the XP theme then people wouldn't buy it because they wouldn't notice much functional difference if any (and maybe that's because it is so).

windows 7 has no themes -_-
as no Vista..., all you have is Aero glass and Basic theme
rest that you people call themes are just different colors applied ontop of 1 theme

their Vista beta 1 was very nice theme, too bad they didnt stick with it...
